Pilates is a unique and holistic fitness experience that focuses on strengthening the body’s core muscles, improving flexibility, enhancing posture, and promoting overall well-being. It was developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century! Pilates has become popular as an effective and mindful approach to physical fitness. This is a slower-paced class that will utilize light hand weights and ankle weights. This is a full-body class with an emphasis on the deep abdominals, obliques, and lower back. Proper breathing techniques to coordinate the breath with the movement help to improve oxygenation, focus, and mind-body connection. Suitable for all fitness levels, Pilates can be adapted to meet your needs.
